Suzanne and Lope are a couple of demon hunters looking to kill Seth, the vampire in both "From Scratch" and "Sorcery 101". Seth broke a glass bottle on the side of Suzanne's face, giving her a permanent scar. Aside from that and terrorizing her family to some extent, it's not clear yet why exactly Suzanne is so bent on revenge.
Lope is a very kindhearted half-Nistan-half-Elf (a Nistan appears to be a cross between some animal and a human) who, for unknown reasons, is helping Suzanne find Seth. He is also called a Tiserip, or a person with a vow of poverty who knows white magic.
This comic may take place at the same time as "Sorcery 101" or after it. The comic is pretty new, so it's hard to tell. We briefly see Danny from "Sorcery 101" in this comic, and more connections to him will probably be made soon as Suzanne and Lope try to reach him.
